I have no problem with the players interchanging but Antonio showed that when he is at it he is a hard player to defend.
If you put a full back against him he bullies them physically. If a centre half tries it on he can turn them and run away from them.
What WE need to do is to isolate him against people
I noticed yesterday that he gave Davies a yard start in a 10yd race & beat him by 2. So even the full backs aren’t safe

I agree. I never saw the game but watched the highlights on MOTD through a drunken haze, to my sozzled mind Arnie was out right and Antonio was through the middle?
The last thing you want from Antonio is to get him to think. Just to receive the ball, and power in on goal and stick it in. Forget fancy passing, just fucking run at them because no one likes power and pace and he has bundles of that.
I mean no disrespect for the lad, he's mostly been great for us but when he's played well he's just been allowed to run at the keeper, knocking everyone out the way.

Looking at the highlights again, that was some display of attacking football which should make people sit up and take notice. We rode our luck at times, especially in the closing minutes when they were hitting us with 9 men, but some of our passing out of defence to set up potent attacks on Lloris's goal was world class.
Shouldn't be having too much trouble settling terms with some real talent in the window this summer so things must be looking up.

"I’m gonna keep banging on about this. For whatever reason, Arnie as a striker is not working any more. The defense puts a lot of pressure on him and he gets frustrated.
On the other hand, Antonio is obviously loving his football, and defences don’t quite know to deal with him at the moment.
The cross for the goal showed that despite struggling as a striker, Arnie is still a class player. Like Anderson, he can do nothing all game and then produce a match-winning bit of class.
One more point that’s so obvious that people might not think about it: Antonio is scoring a lot more goals than Arnie.
So keep Antonio at striker and Arnie in the midfield."

Antonio is at his best when he has to play instinctively. We need him to be beating one player then be in on goal and shoot, or be on the end of crosses scoring headers
How many times does he get the ball beats a couple of players Ronaldo esque, only to then turn into Carlton Cole with a poor shot or pass - his descion making is atrocious.
Leave the decision making to Anderson and Arnautovic..
Or, I'd also like to see, although it would be difficult to execute, the 3 of them, taking turns rotating from wing to up front, during games.
Is that pie in the sky?
I have to admit, I can't think of any examples of teams that have done anything similar.

See a story this morning about Hart congratulating Rice on social media after the game.
I will say as bad as Hart was at times in net, his work with Rice especially after that awful mistake near the beginning of last season may well have helped us for years to come.

We’ve punctured them several times now, Lasagne, then Antonio at Upton Park, and again yesterday.

Be even better when we’re at 66,000. Us getting that stadium for free is a wounder for the ones I know, they never stop bitching about it.

In the interview with Fredericks on the official site he says how Noble gave the team a speech before the game about how much beating Spurs means to the fans (and him).
